Game Description & Reviews:
OverviewCharacters from popular Nintendo franchises meet up for the first time (and then duke it out) in this crossover fighting game by HAL.
Chaz rates this game: 5/5As the name suggests, this game is nothing less than Super. You play one of 8 characters from classic Nintendo franchises (with 4 more to unlock, making the total 12). You then have punch, kick, and smash your way through the other characters and take on challenges like boarding platforms and breaking targets to get to the evil overlord, Master Hand.
This game lacks story, not that it needs one. You'll be too bust kicking butt to care. And if you have any friends, they can join in as well with up to 4 people fighting each other. This game was unlike anything the world had ever seen.
5/5 for epic gameplay.
72naruto72 rates this game: 5/5When you think of the greatest of all of the classic games out in one to fight each other to the death, what do you think of? Super Smash Bros.!!! ok so first off, notice that each character has a set of speacial moves, this is what makes each character unique and why everyone has a favorite. There are also other things, like thier speed and strength. The fact that there is and okay character selection makes it very good, but when you add maps for all of these very good games like Zelda, Mario, And Kirby you will have one of the best instant classics of all time, that is why I rated this game........ 5/5
Mystics Apprentice rates this game: 2/5This game was pretty good, but it got old very fast.
The reason I was so excited to try this game, and I still think this was it's neatest feature, was the fact that it was combining several series of games in one. Out of all the characters you have to choose from, there a little someone from almost everything. You've got Mario, Link, Pokemon, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and several others as well. It was super exciting to see them all in one game, but the game play itself gets old. You can only punch someone so many times.
The game basically is a constant fighting game. You can have up to four players and the object is to... Well, be the last one standing. I'd say about the first 15-20 times you play it is cool, but after that it starts to wear on you. I've also never been into fighting games that much, so it may just be that this game wasn't in the right genre for me.
All in all, the game looked cool on the surface, but just didn't end up being "all that".
Brendoge rates this game: 4/5See where it all began for the Super Smash Bros series with the epic first installment. Of it's time the idea of a character mascot brawlfest seemed an unlikely success. The game went on to inspire the future of beat-em-up games for the future of gaming.
The series is praised for its addictive multiplayer offerings that allow just about anyone to pick up a control and play to their hearts desire. The game's premise is simple, but it makes for some ultimate gaming fun, a non-stop thrill ride, its future installments amplify all components to the max, but the 64 version remains an unforgettable classic.
If you have not played this game for yourself, I highly recommend it. This game, gets a 4 out of 5.
SushiBrawl rates this game: 5/5What do you get when you throw together your favorite Nintendo characters and have them battle it out? I know that was a cheesy way of starting, but it is the only way I can explain this awesome game. With your favorite Nintendo characters you can fight your friends in this outrageous fighter game. Player with up to 12 characters and battle with up to 4 players. There has never been a fighter this rediculous and fun.
