Game Description & Reviews:
OverviewThe follow-up to Ocarina of Time sees the series stalwart Link embark on a journey to save the land of Termina from being crushed by the moon in three days. To defeat the Skull Kid, Link has to live the same three days over and over again.
TheOneWhenDone01 rates this game: 5/5Three days...only three days before death comes to destroy the land of Termina. That Skull Kid is up to no good. He has stolen the most dangerous mask in the world. Majora's Mask. He floats up above the clock tower in North Clock Town and waits for the night of the third day before deciding to destroy Termina with the summoned moon. Play as Link in this epic sequel to Ocarina of Time and explore new lands and temples. Fight tougher bosses. Grab the magical masks to transform into new things. Deku, Goron, Zora, and the most powerful of them all, Fierce Diety Link. Save the people of Clock Town as you defeat the temple bosses and unleash the Guardian Gods to help defeat Skull Kid and save the land of Termina! Get helpful tips from a new fairy, Tatl. This is not your average Zelda game, this game contains fear, depression, and a deadlier fate than Ganon. And the moon isn't an average moon, it has a face. A face filled with evil. As you travel the land of Termina there are many tasks you can complete to get new masks to upgrade your powers, including the Bunny Hood (which I hope we remember from the Super Smash Bros. series). Majora's Mask is an amazing game and I promise you that you will LOVE it.
Anonymous rates this game: 4/5 I remember playing this game along time ago!
The point to this story besides the the "Main Quest"
was to figure out poeples scedules and wear cool-looking masks! Lengthly just like any othe Zeldas.
Give it a try! I know you will like it!
Nipplestone rates this game: 5/5To be honest, i like this better than ocarina of time. I mean, ocarina of time still does get 5/5 but something about majora's mask just makes me prefer playing it.
Maybe it's that majora's mask has more game time (If your collecting masks, which i recommend as each mask does interesting things) or that it's more challenging, i don't know but i pretty much find this better than ocarina of time.
I love the fact that the 3 main masks gives you pretty much different characters. There's loads of different extra's and dungeons which can only be completed with the masks giving you more to do and find.
The only little problem i have with it is the song you have to play when time starts running out (you only have 3 days before...just play the game) and when the song is played, it takes you all the way back to town which could be annoying if you were somewhere far or took hassle to get to. Also your collected rupees will go as well as collected arrows or bombs (the ability to collect bombs and arows won't go, just how much you've collected). You can actually put your rupees in a safe located in the main town and collect them again when the song plays (which doesn't make sense since if you rewind time, you'll reverse collecting rupees :S anyway...).
But anyway, this game is challenging but rewarding. There's a lot you can do even when quest is finished, plus there's a special mask which will make you want to play the game and bosses again ;)
Thanks for reading =D
Mystics Apprentice rates this game: 2/5This game, to be honest, was a disappointment.
I had absolutely loved the Ocarina of Time, and was so excited when it's sequel, Majora's Mask was released, thinking that the game would be quite similar. Boy was I wrong.
It did have similar features to the original, Ocarina of Time. The menu and button functions were all the same, as well as many of the items that you acquire in the first game. But the story of the game and your objectives are ENTIRELY different and the game play as well.
This game is quite a bit shorter than many of the other Zelda games. Your object is basically to retrieve these 4 masks then you confront the main enemy, the skull kid and Majora's Mask.
I also found the way time passed to be a bit annoying. Majora's Mask has a very unique feature of completing your quest within 3 days. These days can be repeated as many times as you find necessary by playing the song of time, but each time you start those 3 days over, most all of your progress is lost (treasures you received except for major items such as the bow or ocarina, people you talk to forget that you ever spoke to them, and including the main bosses that you defeat and the villages you rescue). The only ways to save the game are to either start the three days over, or to do a quick save feature.
I think this game wouldn't have been such a disappointment to me if I hadn't been expecting a true sequel to Ocarina of Time. Overall, it's a Zelda game, and all Zelda games are addicting and fun, but this one I found to be just a little over-hyped and a bit of a waste of time and energy.
72naruto72 rates this game: 5/5Now for people who did not know this is actually the sequel after, "The Legend of Zelda, the Ocarinia of Time". What the story Left out was that Link turned back into a child and he left Hyrule to find other ways he can help people. Right from the start you will notice he has mor abilities, like the frontflip, while you are getting your Ocarinia back. Link gets trapped and ends up becoming a shrub and he wants to become human. Trying to turn back into a human you come across a man who , to true Zelda fans, should seem familiar for The Ocarinia of Time. And says tha if you find him the Major's Mask, he will turn you human. Well you tell him you have it and he turns you back and he asks for it. He finds out you don't. Well when you have your ocarinia back you have 3 days to save the world, sounds kind of hard right? Don't worry, using th ocarinia you can go back to the beginning of the first day, though every time you go back you lose the rupees you have. That is why Nintendo added a bank for you to use to store your money. As you scourage through the levels you find new masks to turn you into new creatures and you can use that to help you. With the new details, and hard work put into this by Nintendo. I give this game a...... 5/5
