Cael rates this game: 5/5This game plays very similarly to Ocarina of Time, yet it adds a darker overture and a sense of urgency to the game.
While in Ocarina of time you could spend however much time you wanted in any of the dungeons, in Majora's Mask you are limited to 3 days in game time, or about 54 minutes, including travel. Though this can be sped up by the use of owl statues, similar to the songs related to specific temples in OoT.
The game also originally made use of the N64 "expansion pak" allowing for increased draw distance and real time rendering of building interiors.
Overall, the game was similar enough to OoT to be able to pick it up, but different enough to keep you interested in the story the whole way through.
Awesomecreeper123 says:The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask is a great game for the more experienced Zelda players. The game has many interesting and hard maps that will you on the edge of your seat all the way!
Justin rates this game: 5/5A darker feel than Ocarina of Time, and a little more challenging. The best part about this title is that even after you've finished the initial quest there is still pleanty more to do.Unlike any previous Zelda game you don't have to much time to waste, roughly speaking each hour in the game time is about two minutes real time so that means there are 72 minutes until impending doom. but don't let the time limit scare you because honestly after the first dugeon the flow of time becomes very little imortance to the avarage player. Of course if you're haveing problems with time you could always use the ocarina to get more.r
There are two hidden songs that can be played at any point in the game, but are never displayed
The Song of Doubled Time (jump ahead 12 hours)
C-right,C-right,A,A,C-down,C-down
The Song of Inverted time (reduce the flow of time)
C-down,A,C-right,C-down,A,C-right
HugeSonicFan97 says:The amazing sequel to Ocarina of Time! Here is Majora's Mask!
In the beginning of the game you are attacked by a kid named Skull Kid and his two fairies. You see them searching Link and as they search they find the Ocarina of Time. Skull Kid decides to check it out and see what it sounds like and Link becomes concious again and tries to grab the Ocarina of Time back from Skull Kid and he misses. Then Skull Kid gets on Link's horse and runs away and as you chase him you fall in a hole and find Skull Kid floating in the air. He then places a curse on Link that turns him into a Deku. As skull kid leaves, one of his fairies is still messing with Link and she gets left behind. You then start to move towards a clock tower that leads you into the land of Termina. Before you enter the city you are caught by the mask owner you saw back in Ocarina of Time and he tells you about how his mask was taken. You have to get to the top of the clock tower before the time runs out (you have about 60 minutes, 3 days in the game) and as you first encounter Skull Kid you will shoot bubbles at him. The bubble power is something you get from a Great Fairy in the beginning of the game. As Skull Kid is lying on the ground unconcious you take the Ocarina back and you play the Song of Time to go back into the past. You go back to the mask owner and he takes the curse off of you and he then asks about his mask. When you tell him you don't have it he gets mad. He then tells you about the mask and its secret powers. The mask is called Majora's Mask and it has strong powers and can take over the person who is wearing it.
Enough of the description, this is my review. This game is a perfect FIVE out of FIVE. I loved this game. It's the perfect sequel to Ocarina of Time and it could not, in any way, get any better. This is one of the best games in the world and it has an amazing storyline. The gameplay is VERY challenging and it has lots more things to do in it than Ocarina of Time did in its story. You are in a bigger town and you get to do lots of stuff. There are mini games you can play, more monsters to fight, and tougher bosses. There is a moon in the sky that has a pretty creepy face and as time runs out, it gets closer and when you get a game over, it is shown falling on the city of Termina. There are four giants you must summon to prevent this from happening and I think it is very challenging. You will love this game I guarentee it. Play it now!
Nipplestone rates this game: 5/5To be honest, i like this better than ocarina of time. I mean, ocarina of time still does get 5/5 but something about majora's mask just makes me prefer playing it.
Maybe it's that majora's mask has more game time (If your collecting masks, which i recommend as each mask does interesting things) or that it's more challenging, i don't know but i pretty much find this better than ocarina of time.
I love the fact that the 3 main masks gives you pretty much different characters. There's loads of different extra's and dungeons which can only be completed with the masks giving you more to do and find.
The only little problem i have with it is the song you have to play when time starts running out (you only have 3 days before...just play the game) and when the song is played, it takes you all the way back to town which could be annoying if you were somewhere far or took hassle to get to. Also your collected rupees will go as well as collected arrows or bombs (the ability to collect bombs and arows won't go, just how much you've collected). You can actually put your rupees in a safe located in the main town and collect them again when the song plays (which doesn't make sense since if you rewind time, you'll reverse collecting rupees :S anyway...).
But anyway, this game is challenging but rewarding. There's a lot you can do even when quest is finished, plus there's a special mask which will make you want to play the game and bosses again ;)
Thanks for reading =D
