Game Description & Reviews:
Alien Carnage is a fun early 90s side scroller with a few twists in gameplay not found in many other games. In the game, Aliens are invading earth, and turning humans into zombies. Harry must fight his way through enemies using his default weapon, a cool flame thrower, or other weapons picked up through out the game. Harry also uses a jet pack instead of jumping, but be warned, the jet pack uses the same fuel as your flame thrower. So best not to go flying everywhere.
In order to complete a level, Harry must first find and rescue all the hostages on that level. Rescuing hostages also refills Harrys health. The game also has a money system that allows the player to buy weapons and upgrades through terminals scattered through out the game.
Alien Carnage was originally released in 1993 as Halloween Harry. The name was changed to Alien Carnage in 1994 after published Apogee suggested to developer SubZero Software that the name Halloween Harry might make the game sound like a Halloween themed game, making for poor sales any other time of the year.
