OverviewRidge Racer is an arcade racing game that was considered innovative upon its release. It has spawned a successful franchise of games focused on over-the-top drift racing. As the debut title for the powerful Namco System 22 arcade system, it was the first video game to use texture-mapped 3D polygon graphics and Gouraud shading.
