Alice says:I love this game, I used to play it since i was nine and I just turned 10. the marl series is older than me. And i loved the cut scenes though for some reason i think that the ps version gets more cut scenes well bye i am bored from writing im gonna find something intersting.
Mystics Apprentice rates this game: 4/5A very adorable game, and a good RPG for the younger kids.
I had seen this game released for the PS and had wanted to play it so bad - but of course I wasn't going to go out and buy a PS just to get one game (this was before I discovered the Emulator ;P) . I was ecstatic to see it come out for the DS and knew I had to buy it and could really try it for myself, and it really wasn't too bad.
The storyline's a little childish, but again if this game is being played by kids, they'll probably get a lot more out of it than I did.
The graphics are quite impressive and very adorable. The one reason I really liked this RPG was just because of the graphics and how cute the characters are.
The gameplay is honestly not all that. Each dungeons looks almost exactly the same, only a different color. This gets old FAST, and soon you'll begin to dread going through any dungeon. Although luckily they are, like everything in this game, fast paced, so you can get it over with fairly quick.
The only other downfall that this game really had would be the fact that you don't get very many tips in the way of where to go next, and everything has to be done in a very specific order. For instance, I could not proceed into this ship until I spoke with this person from the town. I spent HOURS searching all throughout the world map trying to figure out how to proceed, when it was a very petty thing as having to talk to someone first. There were many things like that, but it was "okay", I guess.
Overall, this game was quite enjoyable. Only I think it would be most appropriate to rate this game for 6-10 year olds, not really for young adults.
