Game : Wario Land 4 (c) Nintendo | Date : 11/06/2001 Origin : EUROPE | Size : 64 Megabits Filename : M7-WARL4.ZIP | Supplier : Lady Luck Platform : Gameboy Advance | | .-[ Release Information ]-------------------------------------------------' | | Test your wits in the biggest Wario Land adventure yet! | | A dazzling blend of action and puzzle elements, this exciting new game | from Nintendo headlines one of the greatest scoundrels in video-game | history. Wario cares only about three things - money, more money and | even more money. In his ceaseless quest for treasure he’ll put up with | all sorts of humiliations. | | As the opening sequence makes vividly clear, a rumor about a mysterious | golden pyramid is enough to send Wario roaring into the jungle in his | jumbo convertible. Sure enough he finds the object of his greedy desire, | but before he can bring back the booty he’ll have to endure a brain-and | body-bending series of misadventures at the hands of the pyramid’s | guardians. | | The pyramid’s four passages boast the truly ingenious level design that | players have come to expect from the Wario Land series. In the Ruby | Passage, Wario shivers his way through the ice-encrusted crevices of a | giant freezer, bashes old TVs in a fume-filled toxic dump, withstands | shocking machinery in a sinister factory and rolls his way through a | giant pinball table. The outdoorsy challenges of Emerald Passage | include caves, deep lagoons, angry bees, angrier piranhas and a | storm-lashed jungle. | | Thing get solemnly spooky in Sapphire Passage, where Wario creeps | through a haunted village, rides magic carpets, dodges the ornery | residents of a horrific hotel and eludes gushing lava fountains. | Wario becomes a plaything in the Topaz Passage, where he explores a | giant toy-box, a vast board-game and row upon row of toppling dominoes. | At the end of each level, Wario bumps into a timer, then must hurry | back to the entrance before time runs out and he loses all his money. Sob! | | The charmingly nonlinear game-play means that players can progress through | passages in any order. Each passage concludes with a battle with an | oddball boss, such as a flying rat who hides behind a giant teddy bear. | | Collectibles include coins (of course!), diamonds and CDs, which can be | played in the pyramid’s Sound Room. The offbeat minigames include a | homerun derby and a zany version of concentration that features Wario's | scowling mug. | | Wario Land 4 sports some of most gorgeous graphics to yet grace the Game | Boy Advance. From the smoky fumes of the toxic dump to the brilliant | palette of a level inspired by a child’s sketch pad, the game never | seizes to surprise and enrapture. | | The Hall of Hieroglyphs amusingly teaches Wario’s basic moves, but much | of the game’s fun revolves around his unexpected transformations into a | snowball, bat, zombie, balloon, giant spring, human torch and more. | Besides helping Wario reach objectives, these transformations are always | hilarious. His bewildered expression when he catches fire is priceless. | | Clever, funny, endlessly surprising and starring the unsinkable Wario, | Wario Land 4 is a must-have for all fans of action, puzzles - and fun. | `-[ Releases ]------------------------------------------------------------. | Num Game Title & Publisher Orig/Size Date | --- ---------------------- --------- ---- | 001 Earthworm Jim (c) Majesco / Shiny Ent.
