Bug's Life, A (USA) ROM

Based off the movie of the same name, A Bug’s Life follows the tale of an ant named Flik in his quest to find a way to stand up to the evil grasshoppers that are threatening him and his people. This game is a typical platformer in a 3-D environment, but it’s great for children (though I personally found parts to be a bit overly difficult when I was a youngster). The game exceptionally loyal to the movie, though it does deviate at times, though I would say that’s perfectly acceptable. Not a terrible game in its own right, but like most movie based games A Bug’s Life fails to draw in hardcore gamers.

A Bug's Life is a 3D adventure game based on the Disney Pixar film of the same name. Player's control Flik as he goes through various locations based on the movie. Most levels task the player with getting from the beginning of the level to the end, but there are also missions where the player must find a specific thing in the level or fight a boss. The gameplay is fairly standard as Flik performs some mild platforming and takes down enemy grasshoppers with projectiles. There are secret areas and collectibles to find as well. As with many licensed movie games, A Bug's Life is nothing special and the N64 version lacks the movie clip cutscenes of the PS1 version.
