Game Description & Reviews:
FlashFlare says:Bad Omen is a game where a jealous demon turns a prince and princess into stone paddles and a mysterious blue sphere falls from the sky to come to their aid. In short, the game is....a Breakout clone? Yes, this game is basically just Breakout with an "interesting", to say the least, story. The game is mostly what you'd expect from a Breakout game with two player and time trial modes, but the levels themselves have somewhat of a unique twist. Players have to prevent themselves from losing the sphere while using said sphere to breakthrough bricks as you would expect, but they also need to climb up the level to reach a boss at the end. Both paddles are on screen even in one player mode and the paddle at the top can move up and down as well as left and right. Hitting the sphere pass the bricks on screen climbs through the level while the paddle at the bottom follows after to make sure they do not lose the sphere. There are enemies and power ups in the game as well. This creative take on the Breakout formula makes this game somewhat of a hidden gem for its time even if the plethora of Breakout games since then have overshadowed it.
