DFG rates this game: 1/5While the game itself is a good game, this cracked copy is loaded with glitches and errors. I've had health glitches to where you can never heal, bosses that don't die, and (from what I can see) a completely missing final boss.
IcE rates this game: 5/5Wonderful title, but this ROM hosted here (and at any other rom site, don't bother looking elsewhere) is hacked. This is one of the few PS1 games that featured a rudimentary copy protection, and the hackers who hacked this clearly did not have a good understanding of how to bypass it. In short, this game has glitches everywhere. From things such as levels not tracking progress (eggs collected), to some gems simply not existing in levels. It's literally impossible to complete this game 100% (or even close to that). Sad to say, this is one you'll need to buy and own an original Playstation to enjoy. But don't hesitate if you can find a copy, it's a wonderful game. If you liked the first two Spyro games, it's just as good.

The ISO is not.

Gaboya rates this game: 1/5This game is awesome. This ISO is not. It's just another stupid Paradox hacked ISO with loads of glitches. For one, the stupid Paradox logo and it's music that replace the original PlayStation logo go on for OVER 10 MINUTES (at least for me). I basically have to go do something while I wait for the game to start up. Second, some of the gems either don't exist or don't count, meaning they won't add up to your total when you get them. Third, some eggs don't even save when you get them, so if you restart the game, you would have to get them again everytime you restart the game. Fourth, I got stuck in Midway Gardens because a glitch forces Spyro to hop off the whirligig instantly as he gets on it. I bypassed this after a couple of days, but I have no idea at all how. Fifth, the cutscenes have no audio. It plays the audio for about 5 seconds after starting, then mutes for the rest of it. Finally, for me, there was NO FINAL BOSS. It is impossible to 100% this game on this ISO, gems, eggs, or boss-wise. Don't get this one. Find another ISO, this one is garbage.
Nasu rates this game: 5/5Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the final of the Spyro games developed by Insomniac. It's both a tragedy and a blessing. For one, after this, all of the other Spyro games have different mechanics. Fortunately, they will still be just as amazing, so look forward to them!
Anyway, lets begin.
If you have seen my reviews for the previous two Spyro games, then you should be prepared to hear more positive things about this one!
The game starts off with you playing the role of Spyro the young and heroic purple dragon yet again, but this time you'll be saving venturing to the other side of the dragon worlds, the worlds that were left behind, and are now drained of magic. In this long forgotten world, you will be looking for the eggs of baby dragons that were stolen by an evil sorceress. Along the way you will meet friends, such as Sheila, Sergeant Byrd, Bentley, and agent 9 whom you will be able to play as! Not only that, but you can play as Sparx as well in world created just for him!
But of course, not only will you meet friends, but foes as well. Such as the sorceress and Bianca, the main two antaganists.
You will travel along many world, traveling throughout many worlds, completing missions, and collecting all the eggs!
Now get out there! Take on the roll of Spyro the Dragon and save those eggs and take in one last thrill from the original three!
Note: Due to an unfortunate conundrum, the download is broken on this website. One of the previous people who reviewed this left a link to a video that has a working copy of the game. Scroll down and enjoy~
