As for Xterra he can speak for himself calling this "the absolute best psx racing game of all time" thats a matter of opinion buddy. I bought this game back in 1999 and I can say its probably one of the best arcade racers but not best all around racer. Xterra states 320 cars but you get to only drive them on 8 tracks, incredible graphics well okay so did Gran Turismo. If you're in to arcade racing this game is cool, but if you want more replay value, more cars, REAL cars (not variations of the same) more tracks and realistic driving rather than powersliding (more like powergliding) then go with Gran Turismo. Also Wipeout had a better sensation of speed. However I did have fun with this game, but theres only so much fun to be had.

The absolute best racing game on the PSX, bar none. R4 has incredible graphics for its time, 320 cars, 8 tracks, a fully-fledged GP mode, cool music....need I say more? This game just kicks ass. 5/5, and the offical XTERRA SEAL OF APPROVAL.
