Daisenryaku 2 - Campaign Version (NTSC-J) ISO

Dai Senryaku 2 Campaign Version is a great game in SystemSoft’s retro style, but unfortunately not this particular port. DS II Camp comes in two differing versions: the more sophisticated PC-98/Sharp X68000 games, and the simpler PC-88 version also ported to the MSX and the PC Engine/TurboGrafx which we have here. If you can figure out the confusing disc loading sequence for the campaign on the Sharp X68000, that is definitely your best bet as it has a good mouse-controlled map interface, superior graphics, more units (including engineers & strategic bombers) and Fog of War.

The PC-88/MSX games are also quite playable, with the added bonus of the MSX version having been patched to English. But things went wrong with the PC Engine/TurboGrafx game due to the overly simplistic combat results. Way too many one-shot wipeouts where all 10 sub-units die immediately.

Hex-based strategy war game set in modern times. Up to four players can compete in battles set in various different countries.
