Each character has a unique ending, however you have a limited amount lives no matter how many coins you have when you play the last stage, so be careful.

Most ground-based enemies drop small Bomber items, and grabbing enough of these gives you an extra Bomber, but if you're out of bombs and have some small Bombers you can use a partial Bomber attack.
