Game Description & Reviews:
Gemtime.keith rates this game: 4/5Murder at the Manor was written by two graduates of Heriott-Watt University. Alan Morton was responsible for the games initiation. Some of the ideas were put together during study periods. The field of sheep has deeply meaningful aspects and relates to the view out of the university Mech.Eng building.
To play the game you choose one of a number of characters. The other characters are controlled by the computer. The idea is to move around the paths and map out the different zones and buildings. (Including a field of sheep). We have to say that the graphics are quite primitive - but we think retro is the word!
As you wander - and look around - picking up anything you find and performing simple tasks, the challenges you face will keep you absorbed as you attempt to find clues about the murder.
Written in Spectrum basic with assembler drawn pictures. It all fits in the 48k of the Sinclair spectrum.
Two of the original four spectrum computers used to write the game still exist, but have not been turned on for 20 years!
