szunyzoli99 rates this game: 4/5Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island is the prequel to Super Mario World, with the Yoshi Clan being the protagonists, alonside baby Mario. The story starts with baby Mario and Luigi being carried by a stork, when suddenly, a magikoopa named Kamek attempts to snatch the babies. He manages to kidnap Luigi, while Mario falls down directly onto a Yoshi's back. The Yoshi Clan decides to help baby Mario retrieve his brother.
The game is a side-scrolling platformer. Yoshi can jump, and ingest enemies and other objects. After ingesting something, he can either eject it, or swallow it. Swallowing something creates a Yoshi egg, wich can be thrown at enemies or other objects.
The game features 6 worlds, with each one having 8 normal levels and 1 extra level.
