also be sure to click on the 'mario paint' logo before stating the game [different letters] they do stuff; such as turning the screen black and white or changing the music.
This game originally worked with a mouse [that came with the game]. The mouse that comes with your pc should be compatible, although you might have to turn it on and off a few times for the emulator to catch it [see it's there].
