Clayton rates this game: 3/5Vigilante 8: 2nd Offence, is the meaning of car destruction. It has a nice gameplay, where you have simple objectives. There is an average story behind this game. In quest mode you have to choose between 3 groups, each with the same objectives for every car in the group. When you complete the quest mode with that group, you may unlock a new character, but only if you complete all objectives. In arcade, you have only to destroy your enemys, that you can choose in the begining. There's also a survival mode, that it explains for itself. This game is known for it's thrilling sountracks, basically from '70s to '80s.
SpiralPegasus rates this game: 4/5"Vigilantes! Dippin n' Dodgin', Swervin' and Curvin! Drivin' for what's right, I'M TRYING TO STAYYYY ALIIIIVVVVVVEEEEE, VIGILANTEEEEEEE!!!!!"
For the gameplay, picture this: Grab Twisted Metal.
- Add slightly more powerful weapons, plus the possibility to make your vehicle hover or move over the waters and ice.
- Inject it a very heavy dose of highly funktastic music.
- Place yourself in the mid-70's travelling through the United States, from coast to coast.
- You can pick up points from your rivals and upgrade your car!
And to THAT, add nine main characters and 9 unlockable ones, each with different vehicles, special weapons and plotlines as dense as liquid mercury. You can skip the plot altogether but if you decide to pay attention to it I'd reccommend you to pick up it's prequel first, since this game picks up after the endings of the original one.
But wait, there's MORE! On second thought, just go play the game and find out yourself. It's a blast, you won't regret it.
Have fun!

Reginleif32 rates this game: 1/5Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense takes place in the year 2017, Slick Clyde, under the new alias, Lord Clyde, has become a high ranking official for the controversial oil monopoly OMAR, but he desires more power. To do so, he sent two of his assassins, Obake and Darius, to steal a time-travel device from Stanford University, and use it to travel back in time to 1977, shortly after Sid Burn's demise. His prime objective: to kill Convoy, and is successful in doing so, after an attack on Convoy's truck results in Convoy falling off a cliff to his death, but Houston, who was with him at the time, survives. After Convoy's death, Lord Clyde went on to finish what Sid Burn started, and no one was likely to stop him.
