tamh rates this game: 4/5Sometimes you're lucky to see a beta version of a game, that is a version of the game before it was released. If normally has different features, has changed map layouts, stuff that gets ditched when the official release gets out.
This is one of those beta releases. Sonic 2 Beta is the previous compilation handed to testers and game magazines all around the world for reviewing and to get maximum exposure to the game before it was released.
It contains several removed maps (like Wood Zone), and some of the maps that were in the final are not quite finished, but nevertheless is a piece of history in Sonic series. The graphics and sound are the same as in the finished version.
If you're a true Sonic fan, you have to have this particular build, and try to find out the differences between the final build and this beta build.
