Unchained Blades is a First person Dungeon Crawling RPG, similar to the Etrian Odyssey Series, but with more of an emphasis on story.

You take on the role of the dragon emperor, Fang, having been stripped of your powers and form by the Goddess Clunea, You will explore various labyrinths and mazes while fighting monsters in a turn based, front on style battle system, on your quest to reach the goddess, reclaim your powers, and regain your true form.

Parties can be formed from up to four of the thirteen available heroes, and each member can be assigned four monsters to assist them, which can be recruited in battles using the "Unchain" system.

Development of Unchained Blades features several well known, famous names within the RPG scene, including Toshio Akashi, who previous worked on the Lunar series of RPG's, Takashi Hino, who previously worked on the Grandia series, and Nobuo Uematsu of Final Fantasy fame, who contributed some tracks himself, and consulted on many others.
