Brendoge rates this game: 5/5Super Mario Sunshine is the gamecube adventure title for Mario, With a distinctive graphical enhancement from older outings and an outstanding assortment of intelligent gameplay, Sunshine is a winning combination - shined well to end up with a fantastic polish.
Arguably Sunshine is the favourite of the series. Purely the introduction of the F.L.U.D.D device as Mario's high-tech backpack sent gamers applauding for more. Nintendo delivers with over ten worlds for Mario to explore, each as unique in there own sense.
Much like Super Mario 64, Peach has been captured by *Spoiler* Bowser *Spoiler* who has intruded on a new land introduced first here on this game. Mario has been framed for polutting a world which is about as tropical as Hawaii itself. That said expect beautiful graphics topped off with a distinctive style formed from the retro and the addition of the new gadget.
Sunshine like every Mario adventure title is a quintessential polished piece of gaming 101 that generally deserves more than a look, an entire playthrough, it is clean fun for all ages. You have been recommended!
Chaz rates this game: 5/5Super Mario Sunshine takes place sometime after Super Mario 64 (though I wouldn't call it a direct sequel) in a tropical island retreat known as Isle Delfino. This is the first (to my knowledge) Mario title to have full voice acting, which is done quite well in my opinion.
Long story short: Bowser Jr. dirtied up the island, Mario's blamed, and you have to clean it up and save Peach. So, the story's not too great but it works, trust me (who really plays Mario games for the story?). The game has you controlling Mario in a platforming adventure, collecting Shine Sprites (this game's version of a Star) and using F.L.U.D.D. to clean the island.
The game plays a lot like Super Mario 64 and the added mechanics are very easy to grasp, making it very user-friendly. The hardest parts you'll experience are the levels without F.L.U.D.D., and they are still quite fun.
I think this game is horribly underrated, and it deserves a lot more credit than it gets from players. It's a fun platformer that looks beautiful as a bonus... there's really nothing to hate.
Pontinho rates this game: 5/5
No baseball. No basketball. No gimmicks. Its just Mario being Mario. And its one of the best looking Mario games. And yes, it’s Mario cleaning up the city, but also cleaning the **** his brother did at console’s launch.
Probably the second toughest Mario game, Sunshine made its best to move gamecube up in the charts.
Loagster rates this game: 5/5Mario is on a plane to Isle Delfino. He is dreaming about seafood, Sunshine, and just a plain getaway from mushroom kingdom. But Mario arrives, only to be named a criminal who has covered the tropical island in sludge. For Mario to prove justice, he embarks on a sunny adventure to save the people of Isle Delfino. With exciting gameplay, amazing graphics, and summer fun, Super Mario Sunshine will keep you playing for hours. "CIAO!"
Undertakerand619 rates this game: 5/5Super Mario Sunshine one of the best on the gamecube. It is an amazing adventure. In my opinion it is 10 times better then Super Mario 64. Not only can you use Marios agility you can use F.L.U.U.D. A little robot that shoots out water to help you make hard jumps. The graphics are absoulty one of the best on the gamecube. The music is Mario perfection. Mario Sunshine is an amazing game and you should with out a doubt agive this game a shot.
