celever rates this game: 5/5Pokemon Colosseum has always been an incredbile game. It started off the shadow pokemon idea, something that was so popular it returned in the less-popular XD: Gales of darkness and something that many people hope will return on the Wii U! Starting off as a simple way to get genertion 2 pokemon onto your generation 3 games, it evolved into what many people still think is the best ever story-line to a main-series pokemon game (yes, it counts as main-series) and the limited amount of pokemon available really made you use pokemon that you otherwise wouldn't consider. Who here used misdreavus for the first ever time when playing colosseum? What about using a swablu, who was before only available under-leveled in the generation 3 games. Of course, this isn't without its down-sides. There were some things in there which can be thought of only as jokes from the developers, such as the level 20 remoraid where everything else is level 30, or the plusle you get in a similar area that is level 18. They also left a few pokemon in the codes which many people think would have been much better than other shadow pokemon that were picked, such as a shadow minun which would have compensated the plusle amazingly, and a shadow spoink or natu, both incredibly popular psychic types that would have been great in this game. There were several of these pokemon that came back in XD though, such as natu or roselia, but overall I think this is the better game of the two, and in my honest opinion the best in the series.
Also to the people that were disappointed that this wasn't a generation 3 stadium, why are you comparing them? Not every home-console pokemon game has to be a spin-off that you only battle in, after colosseum and XD pokemon battle revolution on the wii got terrible response from the crowd, since they wanted another one of these games, and they still do.
Sethisabeast rates this game: 5/5Your adventure starts in the region of Orre and your characters name should be Wes. Then you go and find a red head girl that you save then she follows you on your whole adventure. You have to catch all the Showdow Pokemon and purify them if you do catch and purify all of them and beat mt battle you can catch the legendary of Pokemon gold ho-oh.
SushiBrawl rates this game: 4/5To be honest, I think long time Pokemon fans will be dissapointed by the lack of Rental pokemon, Gym Tower, mini games, and Oak's Lab. The game offers a colosseum mode like the stadium games and free battless, but there are no rental pokemon.
Instead, you are given a story mode to play along. The story may not be as good as the portable, but it's still comes with it's addictive gamepla. I would recommend if you have a portable generation 3 game with a gameboy cable because the sotyr mode alone is not enough to get this game.
Pontinho rates this game: 3/5When this game was released, I was very disapointed it wasn't like the stadium games. It's missing rental pokemon, mini games for playing with your friends, the gameboy tower and the prof. oak lab.
All things that made the stadium games special for me. Still this isn't a bad game, it have its pros, like the ability to catch pokemon from oposing trainers, as long they are dark pokemon, and a real 1-player adventure, although it is very short and all battles are 2vs2.
Yuki rates this game: 5/5An epic! The minute I started playing I fell in love. The story is amixing and nothing like any prior pokemon games. You can catch and battle with what are called shdow pokemon. The 2 on 2 battling is also fun since you rarely have any in the gameboy games. I reccomend this to any pokemon fan looking for a new twist on the game.
