Game Description & Reviews:
OverviewCollect hundreds of borgs and battle them out to save the day! And no, this isn't Pokemon.
Dravlyn rates this game: 5/5This cult classic of a game is an excellent choice if you like replayable games with intense fighting. The Story revolves around your character finding a talking robot after it crashes to earth. You then embark on an adventure to save the world with your super powered robot toy.
Sloshy rates this game: 3/5Gotcha Force is a fun little undiscovered gem by Capcom that was never very popular. In it, you make a team of collectible toy-like robots named "Gotcha Borgs" and fight enemies. The story, graphics, and music are all very mediocre (or worse), but the gameplay really stands out. The customizability of your team of borgs lets you make a unique fighting force to tackle all of the challenges you face. There's tons and tons of borgs to collect, each with different moves and usages. The best part of the game, though, is multiplayer, where you can battle other peoples' teams in a deathmatch. The only real flaw with this game is that single player is incredibly repetitive, and you'll need to play through the single player multiple times in order to unlock everything possible.
MDHR rates this game: 5/5Gotcha Force is a hidden gem that deserves love and praise. The concept seems strait out of a Shounen Anime, you control custom built teams of mini-robots to battle. There are an incredible number of different types with hundreds of differnt moves and styles and costs, the key element is finding what suits you and how many points you can spend. The single player mode is moderately repetative but not terrible, the voice acting is horrible but in a funny way. The real game starts in the Multiplayer, both in challenge mode or in Versus. In challenge, you and a partner, AI or human, fight with a very limited team against progressively tougher AI teams and always delivers a sense of satisfaction for victory. Versus is a custom deathmatch, you set the point limit and any computer teams, pick your own team, and a stage. Then kick ass in a variety of partially destructable 3D stages. Replay value is top notch. This game would have been groundbreaking if it had Internet but, well.... Nintendo.....
