The hit BBC show (four million viewers and rising) in which people get to
build their very own fighting robots and put them into battle against
fellow amateurs is just perfect for subject matter for a video game.
Gameboy Colour owners have already had a taste of the good stuff, but this
brand new version is the real deal. Needless to say the result is
metal-mashingly good, the Gameboy Advance-enhanced action capturing the
intense robo-combat perfectly.
A whole range of robots taken directly from the TV show are included, but
the real fun lies in designing completely new machines, taking into
account size, weight and appearance as when piling on the weapons and
defences. Using such goodies as hammers, flamethrowers, and steel spikes
it's possible to build a truly individual fighting machine. Then it's off
to one of the many brand new arenas to see if the killer robot has what it
takes.
Taking full advantage of the Advance's link-up capabilities, the game also
includes a range of multiplayer options, including deathmatch, tag team
and robot rumble.
