Megamaxmax rates this game: 5/5Ah, Pokemon Red. The game that started it all. Back when Pokemon were Pokemon and not just poorly made monsters. It may not have color but it makes up with the fact it was the first Pokemon to have these Pokemon, this plot, and all of the other stuff the older games copied.

you can and train them to their max capacity. But while you do these you are battling the gyms throughout the regain.

That's it. That's essentially what this game's about. Simple, yes. But it's a long journey and you'll meet new friends along the way to help you.
You build your team of 6 from a collection of 151 (yeah, I included Mew, do something about it) creatures called "Pokemon" who possess the powers of the elements in the form of attacks. This team of 6 is used to fight other trainers who block you on your way to the throne.
Sounds easy? Well it is. You go around the world collecting animals to fight other animals and become the world's best dog-fighter. It's simple, but we love it all the same.
