OverviewLode Runner is a 2D platform/Puzzle game from 1983 created by Douglas Smith. It is one of the first games to include a level editor tool for players to create their own levels.

Lode Runner is a NES game that was released in 1983. It's a puzzle style game and I used to always lose at it as a kid. It was only later that I came to appreciate how perplexing this game could be and also realised that the included level editor was pretty awesome. There are about 50 different puzzle levels and you basically have to collect all the gold in each level while avoiding any trouble. Try it, the game is pretty fun!
