Karnov (USA) ROM

This is one annoying game, I have to say. I mean, to select items, you have to walk left and right! Wow. The sound effects are pretty standard for the time, but still, they just sound like scraping noises. I know it's NES, but man. The graphics are okay for the time, but some things are a little under my mark of approval. A couple of enemies almost look like they should be on an atari. Other than all that, its a pretty normal side-scroller. I feel like maybe the arcade version was better, but I haven't tried it. The last thing I'd like to talk about is the difficulty. It's kind of notorious for being difficult. This is one of those old games that is sort of difficult for the right reasons, but also difficult for the bad programming in certain areas. Overall, a 3/5. I'm pretty generous with old game scores.
