Cybernoid - The Fighting Machine (USA) ROM

Cybernoid - The Fighting Machine is a flip-screen spacey shooter. You control what looks like a blue alien head that can shoot lines and missiles. The goal is to get through several screens filled with enemies which must be destroyed, indestructible objects that will kill you in one shot that you need to maneuver through, and turret/missile shooting stationary doodads.

Controls are simple enough but the game features a wonderful gravity/constant falling effect you have to fight against. Unlike many similar games, as the screens do not move and normal ground does not harm you, you can actually just sit on the ground and do nothing. I found that odd.

Graphics were colorful and interesting while sound was instead quite bland imo.

This is not my type of game but it seems like a unique title that might be worth a try if you're into the genre.
