Knirps rates this game: 2/5Dragon Strike is a combination of RPG and top-down shooter on...rails? You control one of three dragons, each with their own stats, through different levels with different objectives across a large map of playable areas.
Controls were a huge PITA because of the constant movement and flight height feature. The game features two levels, low and high flying and enemies can be on either. You have two attacks as well.
Sound was okay, hitting some grating pitches at times.
Graphics were pretty basic but bright with some interestingly detailed enemies. Some levels were nauseating as they seemingly decided to use all 256 color codes.
Gameplay quickly became tedious. Many time I was forced to circle endlessly to land attacks because environmental elements 'push' you back to high flying when the enemy you need to take out is on a lower level near barely discernible higher reaching objects like mountains.
Overall, I never felt like I was having fun while I played. I think some types of gamers might enjoy this game but not me.
Bloodblade07 says:This game isn't bad but it gets kinda boring overtime. When you start the game, you get to play as three dragons: Bronze, Silver and Gold. You get a few mission, and that's why it gets boring. *Just a hint: When you complete the mission, fly north all the way to the edge of the screen to go to the next level.* I was stuck on the first level trying to figure out what to do.
