The first game in the Duke Nukem series is a platformer, in which the player controls Duke as he tries to stop the Dr. Proton, a madman determined to take over the world with his robots. Duke battles Dr. Proton and his robots in a destroyed Los Angeles, on a moonbase and he even follows them to the future.
