This game is a turn based football game. You pick a historical superbowl winner and pit them against other superbowl winners (1 player or 2 player modes available). Each play turn, you call the offense or defense, and which players are focus players. The game then returns to the field to show you how your call played out. Its actually quite fun, you don't have the stress of having to control players, you can relax and just call plays.
