Final Zone II is a top-down shooter by Telenet, released in 1990 for the PC Engine CD and Turbografx CD. You play as 5 different characters, each with their own special armor, which as a primary and secondary attack. Each Character has their own level theme instead of individual level themes. The game itself is more known for it's terrible translation, with wooden actors voicing the cutscenes, but some love the translation for it's sheer awfulness alone. It also has some lyrical songs that most find cheesy. While it can be fun in short bursts, there's no real variety in any of the stages (Except Stage 3, which becomes a vertical shooter), so it can get repetitive very fast. It is still worth playing for the cutscenes alone.
