Kore Ga Pro Yakyuu 89 is a professional College Baseball game featuring 12 teams. I cannot be certain, but it may have been based on actual teams of the time period. The game plays similarly to Bases Loaded and other games of the genre. To succeed, your team must score runs by striking the ball in such a way that it allows your batters to take bases until one or more reach home plate once more. This can be achieved in several ways. The batter can be struck by the ball to take a base, The batter can opt not to swing a 4 bad pitches, The batter can hit the ball to an "fair" area of the stadium not occupied by an opposing player and reach one or more bases, or the player can hit the ball to a "Fair" area outside of the play area for an automatic Home Run. If a batter is Struck out, tagged out, the ball he has hit is caught before it hits the ground, or the opposing team touches the ball to the base the batter is heading to before he gets there he is declared "out" this can happen to a single team a maximum of 3 times per inning of which there are a maximum of 9 unless the game is tied at the end of those 9.
