Bari Bari (Crunching?) Legend is a Superbike racing game similar to Hang On or Suzuki 8 Hours. This iteration of the genre includes (and boasts) fully customizable bikes, and 2 game modes Travel and World GP. In Travel, your objective is to run the course of your choosing with the least amount of mistakes for the best times. GP mode combines the Travel Mode with a Grand Prix style in that you partake in a qualifying run before having the added obstacle of other riders. One thing I was not happy with is that your race position is not based on how many rival bikes you overtake, but rather how flawlessly you run the course. By today's standards the graphics aren't that great, but for back then I suppose they would have been ground breaking There's no fighting like in Road Rash, but it's a decent game for what it is.
You also need an emulator to run this game. To grab one quickly, please check out our TG16 emulators section.
