Black Bass USA is a fishing simulation game that focuses on lure patterns as the bulk of gameplay. Controls were simple but slightly delayed feeling. Sound was obviously trying to be relaxing but was so high pitched all the time... Graphics were typical for the console, nothing special. Appreciated the legible text. Gameplay focuses on the pattern. Guess the pattern, perfect the pattern, hope the fish wants the pattern... If you manage to attract the fish, then you get to the most interesting part of the game...the reeling minigame! I've only even gotten to it once but it was fun for all of 20 seconds! Overall, this is more of a sleeping aid than an enjoyable video game for me. Even in taking screenshots for this page, I fell asleep in my chair trying to get a fish shadow to appear or the fabled reeling minigame to upload. Neither of which I managed to get.
