Genre: StrategyAdventureRole-PlayingSorcerer's Kingdom is an RPG for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive Published in 1992 by Treco. In this often overlooked gem, you take control of Kanan's son and embark on a journey to save the world from a growing evil. Your father was a legendary knight, and though you start out a simple Squire, you will follow in his foot steps and become a Hero. This game features turn based combat, and an interesting twist on "leveling up"; rather than gain experience, your stats increase based on actions in combat, similar to Final Fantasy II on the NES, but a bit more intuitive and polished. In your adventure you will encounter many terrible monsters, find/buy a variety of weapons and armor, and recruit three party members who will aid you in your journey. This may also be one of the first games to feature "Fast Traveling" in the form of a magic map that lets you instantly warp to many key areas of the game you've already visited (not quite the same as a "Return"spell).
