Labyrinth of Death is literally that, a labyrinth filled with monsters whose only objective is to kill you. Your character starts off in a rectangular room with no visible exit. Your objective is to make it out of the labyrinth (that you are inexplicably trapped in) alive! Although the games text is exclusively in Japanese, it is still a fairly simple game to understand. You move around from room to room making your way to a staircase that will lead you to the next room and eventually, to an exit out of the labyrinth. You have to move your character to the edge of a room to find out whats beyond the edge, whether that be a wall or a path out of that room. Your "map" of the floor slowly reveals itself as you unlock the next part of the path, in a style reminiscent of the pokemon mystery dungeon series. If you get stuck facing a monster that you just can't harm, then you can easily pick up on of the numerous weapons/armor/helmets/magic staff/etc. that are litter the dungeon floors. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who is interested in finding out where the mystery dungeon games got their root. Also, I would like to add that this game (visually) felt like a game that Finn and Jake would play on BMO in Adventure Time.
