The sequel to Mega Man X follows directly after the first game, with X fighting against the Mavericks that remain even after Sigma's defeat. However, he learns that three Mavericks called the X-Hunters have Zero's parts, and thus he battles them to get Zero back. The game finished with a final battle against the newly resurrected Sigma, who shows his true form of a virus. This game added the Ride Chaser and the Air Dash to X's arsenal, both of which remained in the rest of the series. It's not as good as the first X, but still worth a try.
