Maerchen Adventure Cotton 100% is a shoot 'em up game where you are a magical girl riding on a broom stick followed by faeries. It's a typical shoot 'em up game with a linear story and basic game play mechanics you would expect from a game of this genre. Each stage consists of you moving through one part of the stage beating normal enemies, then a boss. Then more enemies, and then another boss. It goes on until you reach the end and have, "Tea Time". Tea Time is the time at the end of the game where you collect as many cups of tea as you possibly can.
