F-15 Super Strike Eagle is a 2D rendered flight simulation in the spirit of older arcade flying shooters, but this game added new dynamics. Instead of shooting various enemies spawning at the top of the screen, here you are flying over a set map set on an X/Y axis, giving you complete freedom as to where to go within the boundaries. You will take off and land at airbases, and during runs the objective is to use various weapons such as missiles and bombs to take out various military targets. Fuel is always an issue, and you will learn quickly the concept of "Point of no return." Enemy units such as SAM sites often guard targets, and you are equipped with chaff to throw them off your scent. The game was revolutionary in it's time, and well worth a look all these years later.
