Trog is a game where you and up to three others take control of the dinosaurs Rex (Red), Bloop (Blue), Spike (Yellow), and Gwen (Purple). The objective of Trog is to collect all of the eggs that are the same colour as your dinosaur and escape by standing on a piece of land titled 'Home', all while being chased around by Trog, one-eyed cavemen who will try their hardest to eat you, eventually coming up with new ways to capture you. Power-ups spawn randomly throughout the level, grating temporary abilities.
