The basic point of Culdcept could probably be best described as Magic the Gathering combined with Monopoly. Travel the game boards collecting magic power by passing waypoints, summoning creatures with your cards and fighting them in the same basic Magic the Gathering style where the winner gets the territory which allows you to collect magic from others that land on the space (RENT! \o/ and you 'build houses/hotels' by leveling up the space) with elements (forest, plains, lava, water) playing a major focus for chains (you bought all the properties on the street!). Win by passing the castle (passing GO) after collecting the required total magic.
