Fallout is the first installation of the series. Taking place in a futuristic 50's era America you take on the role of a dweller in one of the giant underground vaults, but in your vault, Vault 13 there was an error in stocking necessary equipment. After being spoken to by the all mighty Overseer you learn your vaults water chip has broken and now you must venture out into the wastes and retrieve another one before all your fellow dwellers die of thirst. Once you leave the comfort and safety of your underground home however you begin to learn that the lack of hydration in your vault is the least of their worries. This game is excellent. Tactical RPG that allows you to decide if you would like to be good or evil. Including dialogue options or the ability to just murder everyone. Your even allowed to kill the children granting you a title of child slayer making even more people to loathe your character.
